20 December 2015 - NVvK World

A whirlwind 24 hour trip over to the Netherlands, and what a wonderful
trip it was! I didn't take any cats with me (even I haven't taken a
cat that far for a show... yet!) but was there to cheer on Maartje's two
cats.
Congratulations to my darling Squidge's mother, Champion Alyona Bella
Barinya who won her title in three straight shows, and was also
nominated for Best in Show and special congratulations Maartje's young boy
Tyana Czar Luhezar who ended up winning Overall Best in Show!

'Proud' doesn't even begin to describe how I
feel about having bred this boy... Thank you again to Zach and Ziva's
loving owners Karen and Darren Nugent for giving them the perfect home,
and the security and confidence that shines out of them at shows. Karen
and I enjoyed a celebratory prosecco in the car on the way home, as Darren
nobly agreed to do all the driving.
Such a lovely day, such happy cats - so many
purrs from all of them - with some very special people. Thank you.

Today my darling baby Belle decided the time had come to leave us.
She has been my beloved companion for 17 years and the pain of her loss is
physical. But she chose when to leave, and it was peaceful, at home
in my arms with her family around her.
Now Belle is reunited with her mother, who she loved so very much.
Through my tears I can see Belle's
wonderful legacy all around me, from her daughter Sophie,
through to her great-great-great-great-great granddaughter Jingle.
Her descendents have a lot to live up to.
