20 December 2015 - NVvK World Show, Rotterdam

A whirlwind 24 hour trip over to the Netherlands, and what a wonderful trip it was!  I didn't take any cats with me (even I haven't taken a cat that far for a show... yet!) but was there to cheer on Maartje's two cats.
Congratulations to my darling Squidge's mother, Champion Alyona Bella Barinya who won her title in three straight shows, and was also nominated for Best in Show and special congratulations Maartje's young boy Tyana Czar Luhezar who ended up winning Overall Best in Show!

- IGrCh Dushenka Zivabella won another Premier certificate and a total of three 1sts and a 3rd, again with some strong competition

But pride of place today went to Ziva's litter brother, Batman and Opie's grandfather, Queenie's half-brother and Tasha's great-grandson.....

UK & Olympian Gold Imperial Grand Premier Dushenka Zerachiel

Zach won every class he was entered in, Best of Breed, and his qualifying Olympian certificate, making him the first-ever Russian to win this title.  As if that wasn't enough excitement for the day Zach also decided to win Best of Variety Foreign Neuter and Best in Show Foreign Exhibit!

'Proud' doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about having bred this boy... Thank you again to Zach and Ziva's loving owners Karen and Darren Nugent for giving them the perfect home, and the security and confidence that shines out of them at shows. Karen and I enjoyed a celebratory prosecco in the car on the way home, as Darren nobly agreed to do all the driving.

Such a lovely day, such happy cats - so many purrs from all of them - with some very special people.  Thank you.

Now Belle is reunited with her mother, who she loved so very much.

Through my tears I can see Belle's wonderful legacy all around me, from her daughter Sophie, through to her great-great-great-great-great granddaughter Jingle.  Her descendents have a lot to live up to.
